AGR named Dr. Suthipong Treeratana as its new CEO
Bangkok, Thailand (November 1st , 2010) – The Board of Director of Asia Global Research Co., Ltd. (AGR), a leading clinical research organization (CRO) in Asia, named Dr. Suthipong Treeratana as new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1st November 2010.
Dr. Suthipong Treeratana, who previously served as Senior Director of Clinical Operations and Site Management, succeed James M. Mash who retired from the position. However, James will remain the company's strategic advisor until the end of December 2010.
Dr. Suthipong, age 41, has extensive experiences in healthcare, pharmaceutical and related industries most recently from MSD (Thailand) as Key Account Director.
Prior to that, he was a Country Manager for CordLife (Thailand) Ltd., a subsidiary of an Australian biotech company (ASX: CBB).He also worked for a private hospital group as a Hospital Administrator, now listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET: KH)
He started his business career as a Hospital Contract Manager of BUPA Blue Cross, a British health insurer, and became BUPA’s Medical Director in 2000. His responsibilities included health care cost reduction through several managed care initiatives and development of PPO network of 140 hospitals nationwide.
Dr. Suthipong received his Medical degree from Mahidol University in 1994, MBA from Sasin (Kellogg's business program in Bangkok) in 2001, Diplomate, American Board of Quality Assurance & Utilization Review in 2008, and Certificate of Clinical Trial in 2010.
